Auto Restart Function

« Back to Glossary Index

A convenience feature on many modern HVAC systems (especially mini‑splits) that automatically restores the unit to its previous settings after a power outage. When power returns, the system “restarts” itself and uses the same mode, temperature, and fan settings that were in use before the outage, so you don’t have to reprogram it.
