Eco Mode

« Back to Glossary Index

An energy-saving operating mode on HVAC equipment. When set to Eco Mode, the system adjusts performance to conserve energy by, for example, reducing the compressor’s output or running the fan on a lower speed. In practical terms, Eco Mode may raise (or lower) the target temperature slightly and cycle the unit more gently, which can reduce power consumption and costs while maintaining comfort. (It trades a bit of quick response for greater efficiency.)
