Hybrid Comfort System

Also known as a dual-fuel system. It combines an electric heat pump with a conventional furnace. The system automatically switches between the heat pump (for mild outdoor temperatures) and the furnace (for very cold conditions) to maintain efficient heating. This “hybrid” approach gives the most energy-efficient heating source under varying weather. For example, it might use the heat pump down to 30°F and then activate the gas furnace below that.
