Louver Position Memory

« Back to Glossary Index

A feature on many modern air handlers or indoor AC units that remembers the horizontal vane (louver) angle between cycles. For example, if you adjust the airflow direction louvers to a certain angle and then turn the unit off, when it restarts it will return the louvers to the same remembered angle. This “memory” ensures that the airflow direction remains consistent without re-adjusting every time the system turns on.
