Independent Vane Control
« Back to Glossary Index
A feature on some ductless or cassette air handlers that allows each air vane (louver) to be adjusted separately. In a unit with multiple louvers, independent control means you can direct the airflow differently for each blade or section, instead of all blades moving together. This provides more flexibility in directing airflow to different parts of a room. Some high-end mini-splits let users control vane position (angle) independently for comfort or precise air distribution.
