Air Filtration System

The assembly of filters and air cleaners in an HVAC system that removes dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, and other particles from the circulated air. In a home, this usually refers to the central furnace or air handler filters (e.g. pleated or HEPA filters) designed to filter particulates whenever the system runs. A good filtration system improves indoor air quality and protects the HVAC components by trapping contaminants before air is distributed.
