Free Air Delivery (FAD)

A specification (often for compressors or chillers) denoting the maximum volume of air a piece of equipment can deliver, expressed in cubic feet per minute (CFM). In general, free air delivery (FAD) is effectively the airflow rate (CFM) provided by the blower or compressor. A higher FAD means more air volume is delivered under given conditions.
